Within Walking Distance

Portland is a great city for pedestrians – there's plenty of handy mass transit and downtown is small enough in area that you can easily walk around and have a great variety of things to do.

Pop Art is conveniently located on the edge of Old Town Portland and the Pearl District, so from here we can walk just about anywhere downtown, from PSU to the Rose Garden. The Pearl continues to expand, offering plenty of high-end shopping and eating options, right in our backyard.

Here are some of our favorite places within walking distance of Pop Art:

The Nike-sponsored basketball courts in the West Park Blocks for crazy b-ball action

Chinatown and the Classical Chinese Gardens - a tranquil space with the best Chinese tea you'll find

Powell's City of Books - The world's largest independent bookstore

Check out the renovated Multnomah County Library. Conveniently located downtown, you can easily get lost inside. Also, the Portland Art Museum is located along the South Park Blocks in downtown.

Our Favorite Nearby Restaurants

Sinju 1022 NW Johnson - best sushi around! Try the Las Vegas Roll...deep-fried sushi genius!

Portland City Grill 111 SW Fifth - arguably the best steak in town, and easily the best restaurant view of the city you'll find anywhere in Portland

The Smokin' Pig 300 SW Fifth - delicous pulled pork on the bus mall.....just say "jumbo hot with slaw" and they will take care of you!

Silk 1012 NW Glisan - excellent Vietnamese food. Try the pho noodle soup and a jack fruit smoothie.
